In this chapter, I discuss topics in animal ethics and the importance of not seeing ethics as a zero sum game. I use the examples of meat eating and animal experimentation to show that as bioethicists, we must keep asking the question, cui bono, why are we doing this? What knowledge do we get from this, and is this knowledge.
